The company culture is “relaxed, for the most part, though some offices are more traditional.” It’s also “top-down, authoritarian,” according to one source. Perks include a 401(k) plan, Continuing Professional Education classes and meals during tax season. Hours are strenuous during tax season and reasonable otherwise. “About 60 hours per week during tax season and 40 outside of tax season,” according to a source. Another contact reports working slightly less, saying, “During busy season we schedule for 55 hours, and for 40 during the off-season. There is not a lot of pressure to work more than that, and if you do work significantly more, you will usually have work moved from you.” One insider reports working “almost every weekend” during tax season. Another notes that weekend work outside of the busy season is “limited to an hour or two of catching up on emails, etc.”
