The employment area of the Exelon web site (www.exeloncorp.com/careers) is fresh (it was relaunched in April 2008) and more helpful than most. Descriptions of featured IT jobs are enhanced by worker testimonials, and there are quite substantive sections on community involvement and diversity issues. For job hunters unfamiliar with the search process, Exelon provides a user guide. For old hands, the search tool works like most others: The advanced tool can be used to select location, keyword, full/part time or posting timeframe. One must register on the site in order to apply for a position. Analysts, technicians and engineers of all types are always in demand, though the accounting, advertising, communications, IT, marketing and training departments have plenty of postings too. Jobs are scattered through Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.
