ABOUT THIS COMPANY:
Company History
Drew Eckl & Farnham was founded in 1983 in Atlanta, and since then has retained all of its name partners and nearly quadrupled in size. While predominantly a litigation firm known for its work on behalf of insurance providers in coverage disputes, Drew Eckl also offers a wide variety of other practice areas such as workers' compensation and a significant tort practice which defends manufacturers, retailers and hospitals. In 2004, Drew Eckl litigation partner Joseph Chancey and associate Megan Mathews represented a plaintiff property owner in a case against the city of Atlanta concerning a raw sewage leak. The plaintiffs alleged that their property had been contaminated for over a year. Drew Eckl obtained a whopping $7.3 million jury verdict for their clients. The impressive verdict stemmed from the jury's desire to "send a message" to the city for repeatedly neglecting to repair sewer lines on the property at issue in the suit.
