Dominion reigns over North Carolina and Virginia as a leading generator and transmitter of electricity.  As of 2008, the company had 6,000 miles of electric transmission lines in the two states with a capacity of 27,000 megawatts of power.  The company also sends natural gas along 14,000 miles of piping in the Eastern United States, taken from its 1.2 trillion cubic feet of gas and oil reserves.

SURVEY SAYS


Working at Dominion Resources is pleasant with the corporate culture being “open and friendly.”  One insider said that it is even “family oriented, although there is stress to complete the job regardless of how many hours [are] required to complete the job.”  However, one source in the IT department disagrees, stating that “the culture at Dominion is immature in the Capability Maturity Model and will most likely stay that way under the current management.”
