A TV leaderAtlanta-based Cox Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, is the third-largest cable TV company in the U.S. (behind Time Warner Cable and Comcast), with more than 6.7 million customers nationwide, around 6.3 million of which are basic cable subscribers. Cox provides analog cable TV under the Cox Cable brand as well as digital video services via Cox Digital Cable, with cutting-edge offerings such as digital video recording (DVR), high-definition television and video-on-demand. Cox also provides a bevy of other communications services including local and long-distance telephone (Cox Digital Telephone), high-speed Internet (Cox High-Speed Internet), home networking solutions, and commercial voice and data services (Cox Business Services).
