Campbell Soup is, quite simply, the largest soup maker in the world.  In the United States, the company maintains a nearly 70 percent market share of the "wet" soup landscape, and it holds market-leading positions in Canada, Germany, France and Australia.  Its soups are so pervasive that each year, Americans consume approximately 10 billion bowls of the stuff in about 150 flavor/size/formula combinations (tomato and chicken noodle are the favorites, by far).  In 2009, an average of 11 cans of Campbell soup could be found in every American household.  In addition to its flagship Campbell’s condensed soups, Chunky and Select harvest, Campbell has around 20 brands that generate more than $100 million each in annual sales.  Some of these familiar name food and beverage products include Pace Mexican sauces, Prego spaghetti sauces, SpaghettiO’s canned pastas, Campbell’s gravies, V8 juices, Swanson chicken products, Pepperidge Farm breads, cookies and crackers as well as Arnott’s in Australia.  Campbell employs approximately 18,700 people around the world and racked up global sales of around $7.59 billion in 2009.
