It's a series of tubesC. R. Bard is a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, particularly those used in the treatment of some types of cancer and heart conditions, as well as devices used in surgical and urologic applications. The company was also one of the first to market disposable medical products. Of the company's product divisions, vascular products, like filters, angioplasty catheters and bypass grafts, make up just under a quarter of sales, while urologic products, like urinary catheters, account for 30 percent of revenue. Oncology and specialty surgical equipment, much of the latter of which is used to treat hernias, account for 24 and 18 percent of sales, respectively.
