Life's a gamble

The Boyd Gaming Corporation is pretty well addicted to gambling, having operated slot machines, roulette wheels, blackjack tables and poker games for over 30 years. It is one of the largest gaming corporations in the United States, boasting 17 casinos in Nevada, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and New Jersey. These facilities house 23,500 slot machines, 500 table games and 7,500 hotel rooms. (Casino giants Harrah's and MGM Mirage are still bigger, however.) Boyd Gaming employs a staff of nearly 20,000 and brings in over $2 billion in sales.
