BBVA’s roots stretch back more than 150 years, and today it’s one of the 30 largest financial institutions in the world, operating in more than 38 countries and serving more than 47 million customers worldwide. The bank has a strong presence in Spain and Latin America, as well as a significant presence in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. In 2012, Euromoney named BBVA the best bank in Latin America. In 2011, Fortune ranked BBVA No. 1 in Europe and No. 12 globally in its annual list of the 25 Top Companies for Leaders. In addition, Global Finance has named BBVA Continental and BBVA Provincial as best banks in Peru and Venezuela, respectively.
