Getting Hired
Tips from the inside
Power up your career
For employment information, including job postings (and a promotional video), visit the careers section of Allegheny’s website (www.alleghenyenergy.com/HR/HRHome.asp). Potential hires can apply for any position online—even several at a time, using multiple job reference codes—but note that unsolicited resumes, or those without a valid job code, will not be accepted. Aside from the standard “power station worker” job, personnel are frequently sought to fill financial analyst, engineer, technician and customer service representative spots. Some positions require a passing score on the industry norm Edison Electric Institute test.
