IBM GLOBAL SERVICES DOMINATES VAULT’S 2011 TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING PRACTICE AREA RANKINGS

New York, NY, (November 2, 2010) Vault.com, the source of ratings, rankings and insight for the technology consulting industry, has released its Technology Consulting Firm Practice Area Rankings for 2011, revealing how consulting firms rank in the practice areas of Operations & Implementation; Outsourcing and Public Sector.  This year, IBM Global Services flexed its technology consulting muscle taking the top spot in each category, with Accenture following closely behind in the No. 2 spot. 

In order to determine the Technology Consulting Practice Area Rankings, consultants were asked to vote for up to three firms they consider the best in each category. (Consultants were not allowed to vote for their own firms.) These rankings measure perceived prestige in each practice area (as determined by consulting professionals) and not revenue, size or lifestyle. Vault’s rankings indicate the top firms in each area, as well the total percentage of consultants who voted for that firm, offering associates a tool to aid in their career search.

The Vault Technology Consulting Practice Area Rankings have been released as part Vault’s Technology Consulting 25 Rankings rollout that began on October 12, 2010.  The rankings provide a comprehensive roadmap of who's who in the consulting industry and a detailed perspective on the criteria considered by candidates when evaluating consulting firms.
