Equity Sales and Trading


Equity sales and trading encompasses the buying and selling of equity-based financial instruments such as common stock. In general, sales departments deal directly with clients (often large institutions), advising them on which equities to buy or sell. Traders facilitate the sell or buy orders in the marketplace (the stock market). Salespeople and traders typically have an undergraduate degree and work for divisions of investment banks.  Salespeople must have good communication and interpersonal skills, while traders should have good quantitative skills and the ability to withstand high stress situations.

Eligibility
Prizes are available only for reviews that meet the following criteria:

  • Employer and Profession Reviews
  • All required fields in the employer or profession review submission form must be filled out.
  • Reviews must be for positions/job titles of college-level internship or above.
  • Reviews must be for positions/job titles must be for white-collar professional positions (not food service or manual labor).
  • For any non-professional services employer, the employer must have more than 500 employees. For consulting firms, law firms, boutique investment banks, hedge funds, and other professional services companies, we will accept surveys for any employer with more than 25 professional employees.
  • School Reviews
  • All required fields in the school review submission form must be filled out.
