Business ethics is a major focal point at the Hankamer School of Business, taking a cue from its parent university's Baptist affiliation. A prominent way in which the school emphasizes ethical practices is by integrating company visits and onsite projects into the MBA. The centerpiece of the MBA curriculum is Hankamer's focus firm course, a semester, long involvement with a specific company where students research and monitor problems in a live business environment. Moreover, the school's health care administration specialization includes six months of paid residency at a relevant company.

Hankamer's MBA program can be completed in either 16 or 21 months, focused on a core curriculum with classes taken with an assigned cohort spread throughout the entire program. MBA students can also choose to specialize in entrepreneurship or earn a general MBA. In addition to its MBA program, Hankamer offers a number of master's degrees, which can be pursued independently or concurrently with the MBA.

Waco is a small city with relatively few nightlife options, so most student social life is based on campus. Baylor's Baptist background means that it's not a big party school, but the student community is tight, knit, participating in student organizations and intramural sports. After graduation, Hankamer alumni spread throughout Texas, with concentrations in Houston and Dallas.
