In fall 2008, the Lundquist College of Business overhauled its core curriculum. The restructuring reduced the number of first-year required classes and moved the capstone strategic business project to the second year. Core requirements still occupy the majority of the first two terms, but the rest of the program is free for students to specialize in tracks in one of four centers: innovation/entrepreneurship, securities analysis, sports business and sustainable business practices.

Lundquist specializes in sports business, operating an MBA concentration in the area through the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center. Sustainable business practices are also an area of specialization, integrating environmental concerns into traditional business administration classes. In addition to its MBA program, Lundquist runs a master of accounting and a doctoral program in four specializations. Another interesting Lundquist program is a 10-day study tour of Chinese business, conducted in the weeks before the second year begins.

Though students can earn an international education, many stay on in Oregon, Washington and California (where most of the recruiters are from) after graduation. Eugene is a classic college town, complete with a large undergraduate population and serious football season in the fall. Outdoors activities are particularly popular, but students can also join clubs or hang out in the local bar scene.
