In 2008, the Financial Times ranked Hough Graduate School of Business sixth among global MBA programs in the career progress category, reflecting the school's focus on expanding employment prospects for students and alumni. The school's career services office hosts many Southeast and Gulf Coast businesses, as well as helps students prepare resumes and conduct job searches. However, in our surveys students complain that corporate recruiters from the West and East Coasts can be scarce.

Academically, the school's strengths are accounting, finance and marketing, offering curricular concentrations in all three areas for MBA students. In addition to its traditional MBA program, Hough runs professional, executive and online MBA programs, as well as a professional MBA in South Florida. The traditional MBA can be completed in one or two years, depending on the amount of undergraduate business course work completed by the student.

Hough's MBA curriculum is structured around a standard core of 12 business classes that focus on economics, accounting and statistics. With their remaining course work, students can concentrate in one or more of 14 specialty areas, including Latin American business and sports administration. Hough also offers seven graduate certificates and a dual degree in international business completed with the Thunderbird School of Management.
