Originally created in 1941, the University of Connecticut School of Business houses MBA programs that offers concentrations in health care management and insurance studies, venture consulting, marketing intelligence, operations and information management, and real estate. Students can choose to enroll in a full-time, part-time or executive program and between locations in Storrs, Hartford, Stamford or Waterbury. The program's core courses include classes on finance, accounting, management, business law and operations.

The admissions process to the University of Connecticut's program is 'pretty standard,' and the admissions staff is 'available and made the process easy,' students say in Vault's Buzz Book surveys. One student notes that 'UConn's business school is looking to become a part of elite public schools,' so 'the admission essay questions are focused on professional achievements and potential leadership.' The classes have a 'diversity in the cases' and are 'very competitive.' Professors can be 'demanding,' but are also 'greatly interactive inside and outside the class.'

As for employment prospects, students can expect 'employer assistance with primarily insurance companies due to its proximity to Hartford.' In addition, 'recruiters came on campus for interviews and hold many networking opportunities.' There are also 'a lot of networking' opportunities and 'the school arranges some networking events for students.'
