It's always nice to have options. The UC Davis Graduate School of Management obliges students as best it can on this front, letting its MBA candidates choose a concentration for their degree via elective courses. The concentrations include (but aren't limited to) business analytics and technologies, entrepreneurship, finance/accounting, general management, marketing, strategy and technology management. Separately, students also have the option to also specialize their MBA degree by participating in projects relating to fields such as health care, real estate and nonprofits--even a field such as wine.

Curriculum at UC Davis is 'very good' and has a 'good quality and selection of classes,' according to student responses from surveys in Vault's Buzz Books. The school offers 'outstanding' faculty and 'more practical than theoretical work' when it comes to courses. The 'challenging but exciting' curriculum makes up for the fact (mostly, at least) that 'workload can be high due to the nature of it being a small school, everyone has to be involved in a lot of activities.' However, the overall employability of students who graduate from the program seem to make the hard work of the program worthwhile. 'Recruiters that know about UC Davis love the students,' one student says. 'Alumni are great and advocate to get students employed.'
