Fifty-three years after the SUNY University at Buffalo School of Management established its MBA program in 1931, the school founded the first U.S.-based MBA program in China. The school attracts students with, among other things, its relatively low tuition cost, allowing students to make back their investment in business school more quickly. SUNY Buffalo's MBA can also work into any schedule, as it can be completed in a full-time, professional or executive format. For the less MBA,inclined, the school offers MS programs in accounting, finance and MIS as well as a doctoral program in business administration.

For the first year, MBA students complete the core curriculum of requirements with a cohort. Students can earn a general MBA or follow up to two specialization tracks, 11 concentration areas such as workforce management and entrepreneurship. SUNY Buffalo also administers eight dual degrees, including a PharmD/MBA and AudiologyD/MBA.

In Vault's Buzz Book surveys, students report that the alumni network is very supportive and plays a key role in placing graduates throughout the state. The school also hosts networking events in New York City and on campus in Buffalo. Housing is available on campus, and students cite the facilities as one of the high points of the school. A performing arts center and a few key bars and restaurants make up the quaint but sufficient social life in Buffalo.
