Pace Law School is best known for its academic focus on environmental law. The school has several centers dedicated to environmental research, including the Land Use Law Center, and offers JD certification in the specialty. Pace Law has two joint degrees focused on environmental law, a JD/MS with Bard College in environmental policy and a JD/MA in environmental management with Yale University's forestry department. Women's legal studies are also a strong point; the school runs the Women's Justice Center and sponsors a JD/MA in women's history with Sarah Lawrence College.

Both those aren't the only options, as JD students can earn certification in international law or concentrate in such areas as criminal law and intellectual property law. Pace Law's alumni network spread across the tri-state area, and is instrumental in obtaining placement for graduates. Though as you might expect, the school's reputation carries the most weight in environmental law-focused practices. Pace Law's campus is in a quiet, residential area; students tell Vault that they feel safe. The student community is fairly small and close-knit, most commuting from neighboring towns and a few making the half-hour trip from New York City. So when not participating in student organizations or hanging out in the local bars, most students opt to leave White Plains to find entertainment.
