Lehigh University's College of Business and Economics has a respected part-time MBA program--it was ranked fifth in the U.S. by BusinessWeek in 2008. Academically, the school specializes in economics, and operates MS programs in health and pharmaceutical economics, economics and analytical finance, as well as a doctoral program in economics.

Lehigh's MBA program commences with an orientation program and ends with a capstone project, with 21 hours of core requirements and 15 hours of electives in between. Students can group electives into a specialization in one of seven areas, such as finance and management of technology. Certification is available in either supply chain management or project management. Students who opt for a more specific career route can combine their MBA with a degree in education or engineering.

Employment prospects are the healthiest with companies in Philadelphia, particularly those in Pennsylvania. In Vault's Buzz Book surveys, students report that graduate housing and facilities are well maintained, but some complain that the MBA dorms are too far away from campus. Students also note that social activities are hampered by the school's part-time bent, as most have work and family obligations that prevent them from committing to student organizations and school events.
