In furtherance of our educational mission, we seek to admit from each year's applicants to the School of Law a diverse body of highly qualified students who are individually and collectively among the most capable and likely to succeed in and enhance the practice of law, and who bring to each class a variety of interests, talents, goals, and backgrounds, including racial and ethnic diversity, that will most enhance the vitality and quality of the education that the law school offers to all its students. To accomplish this goal, we take traditional academic indicators, as well as other individual characteristics, including race and ethnicity, into account in admissions decisions, as part of a holistic, flexible, and individualized evaluation of each application.
