One of the 10 largest business schools in the United States, the Florida State University College of Business grooms tomorrow's players in the hotel and restaurant industry through the Dedman School of Hospitality. Also of note are the college's strengths in risk management and real estate--in fact, its real estate program was ranked No. 13 in U.S. News & World Report's 2007 specialty category. In addition to its 12-month full-time MBA program, the school also administers an online MBA, a joint JD/MBA and a MSW/MBA.

MBA classes are structured around a set of requirements that occupy the majority of the curriculum; only three classes are elective. Full-time MBA students can focus on finance or marketing and supply chain management, and online MBA students can focus on hospitality administration or real estate finance and analysis.

Employment prospects are strongest within the state, but the school hosts several career fairs a year and is working to develop its alumni base. In Vault's surveys, students describe Tallahassee as a quiet town, with most social activity centered on campus. The town caters to the large population of Florida State University undergraduates, but business students are welcome to join in the Greek system and football madness during the fall.
