As former manager of the Electronic Engineering Times' Careers section, he did extensive surveys of salary and job satisfaction throughout the electronics industry. He also wrote a weekly column on the engineering profession, as well as many features about career issues. He's written several articles on engineering jobs for publications ranging from The Christian Science Monitor to trade magazines including Design News, Automotive Engineering International and IEEE Spectrum.
