Most business school students live within a 5-10 minute walk of the business school in areas heavily populated by graduate school students (business, law, medicine etc.). Many students are not on the dining plan either and prefer to cook at home or eat out in one of New Haven's many (and relatively cheap) restaurants. New Haven is very cosmopolitan for its size and is only a 1 1/2 hours train ride away from Manhattan. Crime and safety are not issues as far as most students are concerned but there are certain neighborhoods in New Haven where most students do not venture; but these are removed from the campus and the downtown area of New Haven. The business school buildings can get a little cramped at times but plans are underway to expand the physical facilities to accommodate for more students.
