Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Yale's MBA program is highly selective and ascribes a great deal of
weight to a candidate's undergraduate GPA and GMAT score. Unless you
have an extraordinary set of work experiences, I would not waste my
time applying if your GMAT score falls below 700 and your GPA is
mediocre. The interview is very conversational and is used primarily to
gauge how well the candidate presents him/herself in person. As for the
admissions essays, I would recommend that the writer think about broad
societal issues and about how business and the public arena intersect.
What sets Yale apart from other business schools is its incorporation
of the public realm into a world-class business education. Business
does not operate in a political vacuum, and most business leaders wield
a tremendous degree of political influence. Yale recognizes, and takes
advantage, of this reality.
