Bars are not scarce in Nashville, and most offer a variety of live music
for a very modest price (if any). The popular hangout has recently been
Sam's for cheap beers on Tuesday nights where students take in two beers
for the price of one while catching highlights of the most recent
Vanderbilt football follies. Easy's is another bar that opened up
offering a more casual "come as you are" atmosphere and for those that
enjoy the single scene, not too far away is the "Bound'ry" that is
usually occupied by trendy folk and abmitious yuppies. Needless to say,
there is not a shortage of good bars in Nashville.
Restaurants are abundant with a variety of cultural cuisines, however,
it does not come close to the availability in cities of grander scale.
But, for the size that Nashville is, the choice is outstanding.
Night life is very vibrant in downtown and Owen has many clubs within
the program that offer a wide range of organized social activities from
Saturday afternoon Paintball to Habitat for Humanity to a Tremendous
Annual Halloween Party.
