The Richard Ivey School of Business is a general management program with strong
historic placement emphasis on Consulting, Investment Banking, Entreprenuerial
Ventures and Corporate job opportunities (in that order). The school actively
supports an on-and-off site recruiting program that exposes graduates to both
internship and full-time job opportunities at several junctures through the
academic year. Many jobs however are still won through personal investigation,
contacts and industry knowledge.
Historically and Currently there is a high regards amongst employers for
students graduating with an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business. The
school places significant emphasis on presenting professional, well informed
graduates to employers.
Career placement resources are available and well developed in the school. It
is difficult to determine if school driven recruiting efforts and programs are
the most effective manner to win job opportunities for students however the
school does provide the student with exposure to a host of information sessions
put on by recruiters across a breadth of industry groups.
