The social life in Austin is tough to beat just about anywhere else in
the US. Sixth Street provides a great locale (among many in town) for
bars and restaurants. Texas is a national contender in many NCAA sports,
both women's and men's, which creates a fun atmosphere on weekends. If
you like outdoor activities and sports, you will be right at home in
Austin. Being able to golf in February in 60-70s weather is a big bonus.
Not far away is the beautiful Texas Hill Country, which offers hiking,
rock climbing, and boating activities. Dating scene is there if you are
interested; several couples out of the program were married.
