Full time MBA Absolutely absolutely great quality of life. This is not New York - we have a sprawling campus of our own, it's green and there is excellent bus service (free for students) that connects you to any part of Austin. Most students live on and around campus; the housing is affordable and almost always more value for your money. The best time to come scouting for a house is a month before the school starts - you can negotiate a good price and have a property you want. The crime stats are one of the lowest of any cosmopolitan city and in my two years I have never encountered or even heard of any major criminal activity. Traffic snarls are less frequent than elsewhere and for people who prefer buying used cars, the student population
