Getting into McCombs requires a lot more than just good numbers. While
many of our applicants and candidates have good grades and good GMAT
scores, what counts more is the quality of work experience that you
have. You have to have at least 2 years of work experience to apply,
and usually, those who get in have had significant responsibilities,
leadership ability, and more importantly, know how to be team players,
whether they are leaders or not. Teamwork is an essential part of the
McCombs (UT-Austin) full-time MBA, and those who can and have
illustrated this effectively are those who generally get in. In
addition, a unique background and experiences (country of origin,
languages spoken, international experience, unique accomplishments and
skills) do help.
