Full-time MBA program The social scene around campus and Knoxville is better than average. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to hang out in and meet with friends. During the footbal season, the social scene is at its best. Some places for partying are Copper Cellar (Thursday nights), Cool Beans (any night), and Tonic (Old City). Buffalo Wild Wings is a great sports bar where you can throw darts, play Golden Tee, and watch sports. There are plenty of good restaurants from Charlie Peppers, to the Tennessee Grill on the banks of the Tennessee River. Some of the best bar-b-que anywhere can be found at Calhoun's on the River. The dating scene is like any other large campus. There are plenty of opportunities to meet people and get together. Within the MBA program there are regular events scheduled to get the class together such as Hockey night where students go to a local hockey game, river cruise, Knoxville Smokies baseball game, Habitat for Humanity project, and just socials at local bars. There is also an MBA day where students get together with alum before a football game, eat, hangout, network, and play games. Overall, the social life is better than many campuses.
