Quality of Life Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Overall the quality of life in this program is great. Housing is easy
to find at an afforadable price. The campus is beautiful especially in
the fall and spring. There are plenty of good places for dining within
an easy walk of campus or on campus. Crime is fairly insignificant and
when it occurs it is usually just vanadalism of some sort. The
facilities and parking are the two biggest detractors of the program.
Parking is very difficult to find and is sometimes inconvenient to class
location. You will definitely have to do a fair amount of walking to
and from class and to get a good parking space you will have to come
early in the morning about 8:30 AM. The facilities for the College of
Business are in bad shape. However, there are plans to start
construction on a new building within the next year. I have seen the
plans for this building, and once it is built, the facilities will be
first rate. In the mean time, the college has worked a deal with Law
school to use two rooms in their new facility. This provides a good
learning environment and state of the art teaching tools that add to the
learning experience. This is a good stop-gap until the new facility is
built. Despite the poor College of Business, the campus is completely
wireless. Students are able to access the internet anywhere on campus
without plugging in any cables. This allows professors to use the
internet in their lectures and students are able to take all of their
notes on their computer. Also much of the work is paperless with
electronic submissions. While the facilities are not the best, the
program has put in a good stop-gap until the new facility can be built.
