| Full-time MBA program |
UT's MBA program is very highly respected in the operations and supply chain
fields. Most of the good internship and career opportunities tend to fall inot
these areas. However, they are followed closely by marketing opportunities in
brand management. Opportunities for excellent careers and opportunities exist
with Fortune 500 companies if you are willing to move to where the jobs are.
Some of the companies that hire here regularly are P&G, Dell, Whirlpool,
Homedepot, Lowes, Maytag, Sara Lee, BNSF, Walmart, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, etc. The
list goes on. Most of these companies participate in on-campus recruiting.
There is a full-time staff of 2 career placement professionals on the MBA staff
to assist students in finding a career and the University has extensive
resources
to support them. There are also opportunities in the finance area, but the
reputation of the program is not as established in this sector as it is in the
others. Still opportunities exist although you will not find any big names from
the financial industry recruiting on-campus. However, students have gone to
work
on Wall Street directly out of the program.
