You have the beach, you have the sun, you have the parties..... Regarding the school, it was in south-central LA but was very, very safe. Most of the students lived on the westside (Santa Monica, Westwood, etc) or in the south bay (Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach). The quality of life was amazing with no winter, there is much to do all year round. Also, Vegas is not too far away and San Francisco is about 6 hours so there were many weekend trips. Housing is up to the students as the school provides very limited housing to grad students.
