I went straight to Wall Street with a summer internship, and found I had
multiple job offers to choose from. There is a strong alunni network in Finance
that is very supportive of assisting students in their careers. Typically, up to
10 of the top named firms will interview on campus. In my situation, though, I
interviewed in NYC because the firm I had interest in did not interview on
campus. I found that if you were willing to fly down to NYC for your first
interview, every firm was willing to see you. Typically, the firms would cover
the travel and hotel cost of 2nd and 3rd interviews. Most of my fellow students
in finance followed this pattern as well.
