For the most part, I was quite happy with the weekly Pub. I was in a
long-distance relationship during school, so I wasn't around on
weekends, but there are great places in Center City and more than enough
to do. People do tend to go to the same tired bars, of course. It's
mostly the single crowd (and there are a LOT of married and committed
people in the Wharton population). By the way, a Philadelphia-NYC
commuter marriage is totally possible and almost recommended -- it kept
me sane to get out of the school environment every weekend and kept my
boyfriend sane by not having to endure that environment during the week.
