The Penn campus is quite nice and what one would expect of an Ivy-
league school. Move a few blocks away in just about any direction and
you find yourself in a third world country. Crime was a problem and
security was raised while I was there as a result of on campus attacks
on students. Housing in Philadelphia is equally tricky. I had a
family, so it can be difficult finding an area where they feel safe to
go out at any time other then mid-day. Besides that, the restaurants
and museums were great, and running along the Schuykill river in
Fairmount Park was a nice break.
