Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Wharton's admission office is incredibly friendly, and unlike many other
schools, treats you from Phone Call One as a potential admit (rather
than as a potential reject). Their own materials are pretty clear about
admission criteria, but I would say that essays and recommendations
matter the most. Grades and GMAT scores and demonstrated math ability
are all important, but they really serve as more of a basline measure
(i.e., to show you have the basic ability to do the program) -- it's the
essays and recommendations that talk about aspirations and ideas and
dreams and that convey the "real" you, so take writing the essays
seriously and really think about who you should ask to do recs. The
interview process is fairly painless, all about fit and very friendly.
Overall, a great experience.
