Chicago GSB gets a bad rap for social life. Most assume that quant-
jocks and finance geeks have no social lives. We beg to differ.
With Chicago at the doorstep, there are social activities going on
almost every night -- particularly given the large number of clubs and
organizations wanting time and attention. Almost every student is a
member of 2 or more clubs that sponsor a plethora of activities.
"Brats-n-Brew" sponsored by the administration (along with a generous
corporate sponsor usually) provides some down time on Friday afternoons
for student to meet and catch up.
Finally, beyond food and alcohol (yes, there is "beyond" food and
alcohol) -- annual events such as the Chicago "Follies" create ample
opportunity for a student to get involved when academics and recruiting
prove too much to handle.
