Social Life Survey
Full-time MBA program The business school's social life is varied. Two somewhat organized events exist: Brats n Brew, sponsored by the school, on Friday evenings at 5pm (partners are welcome/encouraged to attend) and TNDC (Thursday Night Drinking Club) which is a student-organized get together at downtown and lincoln park bars/clubs. In addition, the Pub on campus is a popular hangout. Clubs: student groups center around career aspirations - the Investment Banking Group, Managmeent Consulting Group, and Investment Management Group are the largest. These groups bring speakers, organize panel discussions, do mock interviews and resume reviews, and in general provide students with preparation for jobs in the chosen industries. In addition, there are social clubs including the Wine Club, the Chess Club, Sailing Club, Bowling Club, Triathlon Club and others. These groups are fairly informal. For minorities and women there are support groups including Chicago Women in Business, African Americans in Business, Chinese Student Association and other cultural clubs. There are religious associations, an Alcoholics Anonymous group, and a community service umbrella organization: Giving Something Back.
