Hyde Park, where the GSB is located, is a great neighborhood. I just
wouldn't live there. Chicago is one of the three best cities in the
world to live. You have culture, theatre, sports, restaurants, clubs,
bars, etc. It's clean and relatively safe. But you need to be
relatively close to where more of the action is, and that is not in Hyde
Park. The Gleacher Center, which is the downtown campus, serves as a
good anchor for students that live up north. You can always take
classes at the Gleacher Center or catch a make-up there if miss the
Campus section. Though the Gleacher Center is designed to cater to the
evening and weekend students, it is a great resource for campus students
as well and is open to all.
