Campus recruiting is an intense time at the GSB. The process is well managed
and there is constant communication between administration and the student body.
Chicago definitely understands that recruiting is one of the more important
elements of the b-school experience, and they work hard to serve well.
Chicago GSB grads may encounter more quantitative or detailed interviews, simply
due to the school's reputation. Although a bit unfair, those that walk into
interviews with the reknowned quant skills and can demonstrate substantive
qualitative skills and some GSB polish will be highly sought after.
I graduated the GSB with 5 offers from top investment banks. Obviously, those
days have changed a bit, but the GSB remains a top breeding ground for wall
street and consulting firms. The path may be a bit more difficult for those
interested in corporate positions, but the career services office is making
major
strides in marketing the GSB's appeal to those more off the beaten path.
