Admission & Application Survey |
| Full time MBA Program |
Chicago GSB's admissions process can be more involved with students ON
campus than those applying. For example, there is a large Dean's
Students Admissions Committee ("DSAC") which involves a high percentage
of the first year class to read and review applications. There is a
record on each applicant's file indicating comments and questions from
each person reviewing. They ask at LEAST 3 first year students to read
the application and render a recommendation in addition to 1 person on
the formal admissions committee member review. It's a very involved
process -- as it should be. Chicago doesn't take anything lightly - and
admissions gets more attention here than the Cubs.
(In sum, *everything* about your application is important. The essays
are read, and read, and read, and read again. Notes from your interview
are placed in the file and follow-up is a regular occurance. GPAs,
GMATs and work experience are practically assumed - it's simply the
first hurdle of many to come...)
