Berkeley is fantastic for restaurants and the student body puts together
a myriad of Bars of the Weeks, Friday evening "Consumption Functions"
and lots of informal parties abound as students who have traveled far &
wide to take a 2-year break from work want to maximize their
entertainment during the hiatus. As mentioned earlier, students are very
entrepreneurial and this shows in the number of student-run initiatves
and clubs - the Social Entrepreneurship initiatve being just one fo the
more recent & prominent of such efforts. One of the greatest parts of
Haas is that innovative ideas are more often generated by students than
by faculty or administration, which gives students lots of opportunity
to excercise vision and leadership - key traits to success in the
business world.
