The building itself contributes a lot to daily life at Haas: it is new
and designed to foster a sense of community and accessibility and
interaction amongst faculty, staff and students. Lots of fantastic food
is available a skip away in cosmopolitan Berkeley (though most MBAs tend
to stay close inside the building and eat at sub-optimal "Jimmy Beans
Cafe"!) Crime can be an issue so luckily the main campus has lots of
safe ride and shuttle programs; public transportation in general is
excellent within the city as well as to other regions. Students can work
out at the excellent Recreational Student Facility (RSF), which has
state of the art fitness programs and equipment.
