Graduates of the MBA program at the Univesity of Arkansas have the world's
largest and most respected company, Wal-Mart, in their back doors, as well as a
tremendous number of other Fortune 500 companies (all high-volume Wal-Mart
vendors have offices here--Nabisco, Purina, P&G, Unilever, Rubbermade, Fuji,
etc.). Also headquartered in NW Arkansas are Tyson Foods, Inc. (world's largest
poultry and meat producer) and JB Hunt Transport, Inc. (U.S.'s largest publically
held transport company; one of top 10 "Best Managed Companies" in the United
States), along with several smaller corporations. Northwest Arkansas' economy is
one of the strongest and fastest growin in the U.S.
In Little Rock, the state's capital, Acxiom (one of the world's largest
information management companies), Alltel (a top communications company), and
Stephens, Inc. (asset management/consulting) are headquartered.
An MBA from the University of Arkansas is well-respected at all these places, as
