Employment Prospects Survey |
| part-time mba program |
This degree does not have a high profile. One large Canadian bank outright
refused to accept resumes from MBA students at a career fair. In 1998, there
was
minimal campus recruiting at the MBA level. The faculty's focus in placement,
based on postings, was on the undergraduate program. Older students attempting
a
career change without the support of their employer did not fare as well in the
job market as the younger students or those who had employer support. General
university placement office was helpful.
Salary survey probably does not include responses from low income
graduates. For example, one graduate took a position in government with an
advertised salary below 30K. You would not know that from the faculty's salary
survey.
