From the first year the school begins to prepare students for their career
search through the MBA Advantage program. This orientation-like program focuses
between the first and second semesters on the career search. The program
includes a case competition between different groups. The internship program
when I was there was not very strong, and provided very limited opportunities
outside of Western New York. Students who are looking for internships in NY and
other places, need to locate those opportunities on their own. During the fall
semester there were many large and small companies on campus to recruit. I had
several offers from Big 5 consulting firms and one smaller consutlting firm.
Additionally I had interviews with several financial institutions. The Career
Resource Center has been rated one of the best by the WSJ. The staff there are
dedicated to getting students the right job and work hard with the students.
