1. The career resource center is probably one of the best available and has
access to a lot of resources.
2. However, location and school size was a major hurdle as far as attracting top
recruitment on campus. However trips to Wall Street were organized to meet with
companies and provide for schoomzing time.
3. Most recruitment took place locally with the biggest recruiters being GE, M&T
Bank, HSBC, Citicorp, KPMG and Praxair. However, the economic condition meant
that most candidates graduated without a job. As far as I know, as of today, more
than 80% of my graduating class have landed jobs they are reasonably happy with.
4. Internship opportunities were not available and is an area the school needs
to improve upon. The Career Resource Center is currently not responsible for
internships, which does not seem correct. They have a seperate set of people with
very limited resources trying to secure internship opportunities and most if not
all are within the local Buffalo region. This is a definite area for improvement.
