The application is very user friendly. It is available online as well
as through one of the few MBA application websites. Very
straightforward. The application requires at least 2 letters of
recommendation and the completion of one required essay and one
optional essay. International students have to answer both essays.
The school is not as selective as other top schools. The average
acceptance rate is approximately 45%. Interviews are optional,
however, the office is moving towards interview all candidates. To
accomplish this, if you can't come to New Orleans to visit the campus,
the admissions officers will conduct phone interviews at a convienent
time for you. The interview is very relaxed and covers questions about
why you want to earn an MBA and what you feel you will contribute to
the class. Advice: Be yourself. International experience is rated
highly since 40% of the class are international students, and all
students have international experience. Don't be afraid to apply if
you don't have extensive work experience. There are several students
every year that come directly out of undergrad, and do well.
